The new Big Oyster Brewery on Kings Highway in Lewes has been one of the new go-to spots in the second half of 2017. The brewery/restaurant has a nice-sized pub area with a full kitchen reminiscent of the other Fins restaurants. The inside is huge — one of the largest brewery pubs I've seen, next to Dogfish Head in Rehoboth. And the decor is very clever – check out the boat motors. And I won't give away the secret, but when you go into the bathrooms … listen.
We have had the crab corn chowder, the grilled romaine and the wedge salad so far. All were quite good. You can scroll the gallery to see them. New pics are on the way as soon as we can get back there, but initial feedback is quite good, so don't wait for me — get yourself over there and check it out.
Soon there will be a new seafood market/carryout across the street will feature fresh fish, and will be in the little shopping center with Mr. P's Pizzeria, just across the street from the new Big Oyster Brewery. The new brewery has a nice-sized pub area with a full kitchen reminiscent of the other Fins restaurants. On a recent visit we had the duck breast/scallop special. We had to look into the brewery area to remind ourselves that this was actually a brewpub – this dish could have stood on its own at any number of fine-dining joints in town. Of course we had to start with the chili/cheese fries – it was cold and rainy outside and we all know that stuff like that has no calories when it's cold and rainy outside. Another must-get is the burger. And it comes with an egg on it. It was quite good, and the roll was exceptional.

Some of the Fins menu items are available for carryout at the seafood market, and you can slip across the street to grab a beer or two on the way home! When you go to the new Big Oyster Brewery, try to get one of the coveted stools at the window (the window is the opening where the kitchen passes food through to the servers). Though that particular window is not often employed for that express purpose, it's still a lot of fun to watch the kitchen crew do their stuff. I like the place and have been back three times since the media party. The new Big Oyster Brewery and pub is at 1007 Kings Highway in Lewes, almost directly across from Mr. P's Pizzeria.
