Fins Hospitality Group has expanded onto Fenwick Island with JR's Seafood Shack. It's all about Southern Comfort food.
The menu has a decidedly Lowcountry, with a hot & cheezy crab dip, hushpuppies (of course!), and their own creation, the Redneck Eggrolls with smoked pork, pimento cheese and onion. The mains menu features a Lowcountry Boil with a decidedly seafood twist, chicken fried steak and delightfully simple fried shrimp (no problem for the people who created Fins, Claws and Big Oyster).
The menu also offers Po'boys and salads that include fried green tomatoes and a Georgia cobb. By the way – owner Jeff Hamer is a bit of an artist… check out the fish at the entrance – made entirely from fishing reels!
