Honey’s Farm Fresh

/ Updated on March 28, 2021

As of late 2017, Honey's Farm Fresh is under new ownership at 329 Savannah Road in Lewes. The space played host to the old Blue Plate Diner and the more recent JD's Filling Station that never really took off.

New proprietors Petru Cornescu (of Pete's Steak Shop/Sharkey's Fame) and Haken Ak have kept the breakfast/lunch concept, but the food is WWAAAYYY better than it was under the old ownership. Dub it a cafe/smoothie/juice bar, or a good brunch place (with a full bar) — whatever you want to call it, the food speaks for itself. In another timely update (as of early 2021) Honey's #2 has opened in Ocean View (just west of Bethany Beach on Rt. 26) where the Royal Zephyr and Salted Rim restaurants used to be (you know, the place with the cool train cars).

On cool mornings, enjoy creamy hot chocolate, lattes and cappuccino! This cozy spot on Savannah Road in Lewes is known for casual breakfasts, lunches, terrific appetizers and entrees crafted from locally sourced produce. Dig in to Honey’s own gyro and crab omelet, the challah french toast or a huge selection of eggs Benedicts and pancakes. And don’t forget Honey’s one-of-a-kind latkes and baked oatmeal with quinoa. A rustic, beautifully designed bar has become the focal point in the restaurant. And in mid-April, 2019, Honey’s brand new juice bar will be serving up fresh orange and grapefruit juice, lemonade and unique juices that rotate with the seasons.

Lunchy suggestions include piping hot soups served with a baguette. Or you can tuck into a handcrafted sandwich like the house-smoked pulled pork, pit beef, the signature gyro, tomato jam chicken, the brie Craft Melt and Honey’s own pork tacos.

Honey’s Farm Fresh Gourmet Kitchen is located at 329 Savannah Road in Lewes serving breakfast & lunch. The new bar is very cozy as coffee brew, latkes bake and juicy cocktails are being created. By mid-April 2019, freshly squeezed juices will also be flowing! Call 644-8400 for more information. New hours are posted in Cheap Eats for the new Honey's Farm Fresh. Follow Honey's on Facebook.

We've been several times already (check out the photos!) and already have some favorites. DO NOT miss the latke! I'll leave that as a surprise.

They are open every day from 8-3. See the menu here.
