The Best … Eggplant Parmesan

/ Updated on July 31, 2019

This one's a no-brainer. La Dolce Vita in Long Neck.

Eggplant slices are firm and nicely breaded to a dark crisp (not slimy). Cheese and sauce are applied lightly so as not to drown the nicely cooked vegetable. Click to read more about La Dolce Vita.

Rehoboth Diner’s Senior Meal Eggplant Parm is great. With angel hair pasta and their housemade spaghetti sauce. Too much to eat in one meal. And a nice house salad or a choice of soups comes with it. For $15.99, I think.

I’ve read the most recent reviews and although the biggest complaint was the cleanliness, or lack there of, of the restaurant. I can say the eggplant parm was the MOST disappointing I’ve ever eatten! Never before have I ever had eggplant parm with a MEAT sauce! Are you kidding me! Eggplant parm is suppossed to be a NON-MEAT dish! I haven’t been back since. No reason to since the only reason I went was for the much acclaimed eggplant parm. Sorry Rehoboth Foodie you got it way wrong this time.

It is so disappointing that the Eggplant Parmesan is not what it use to be. It was the best I have ever had in my life & my family is Italian. And the restaurant standards of cleanliness, or service lacking significantly is not what it use to be. I haven’t been back there since 2013. Sorry Vinnie.

Beg to differ. Just ate at La Dolce and the eggplant tasted like it had been pre-frozen and resurrected. We sat near the window and there were dead bugs on the window sill. They had been there for a while. What else is dirty? I won’t go back. Our first experience was really good, however, I was grossed out by the last.
