Hideout Arcade OPEN

/ Updated on March 19, 2020

Hideout Arcade Bar and Grill is open in the old Hooters space in Midway, thanks to partners Bryan Derrickson and James Botti. James is the former director of our local YMCA.

It is modeled after an '80s-style arcade, restaurant and bar with lots of electronic games and a menu that will resonate with anyone into the '70s and '80s pop culture! There are  craft beers and craft vittles like a short rib grilled cheese and a peanut butter and strawberry jam burger.

See their website HERE!

It's all about arcade culture with menu items like the DK (Donkey Kong) burger, the King Hippo (character from Mike Tyson's punch out game) and other retro goodies. '80s and '90s music will prevail. Lucky 7 Jackpot is honored with a special 7 sandwich 7 dollar lunch deal on the menu!

CLICK HERE to listen to owners Bryan and James on the Saturday 12/14's broadcast of the Sip & Bite Show on Delaware 105.9FM.

Just went there today 12/29 to meet another family for lunch at noon. Only 2 other tables. Waitress told us they were out of Turkey, anything with short rib and Panini. 15 minutes after ordering we were told that there was no sour dough bread for sandwiches. Only half of the orders came out at a time 10 minutes apart, then still had to wait an addition 5 minutes for my wife’s GRILLED CHEESE! . There for 2 hours. They need to change it up big and quick. Needs a hands on manger that knows what service is about. Also, who puts cheesesteak on bread.

This sounds like a great idea and a welcome addition. Something a bit different. Much like the Barcades in Philly and New York

Could be a big hit like Dave & Busters in Philadelphia! Good luck.

What a great idea from the person who suggested an affordable steakhouse. If Bryan, Olivia and company could repeat the great job they do on steak specials at their Conch Island in town, that would be a boom.

I agree with the comment about the lack of Windows. We need an affordable steak house in the area. Somebody please open one.

  6. Avatar Jacob Ellwanger says:

For the love of God, put windows in the place. Everything will keep failing until someone does – no one wants to go to a depressing windowless place!

The menu sounds like it’s going to fail before it even opens. Bring back the steakhouse and peanuts.
