Po’Boys NEW chef/owner

/ Updated on November 1, 2023

Mike & Melissa Clampitt's wildly successful Po'Poys Cajun/Creole restaurant in Milton has a new owner. Former Eden executive chef Chase Nelson has taken the plunge to own his very own restaurant.

From Melissa Clampitt: “We know [Chase] is the right guy to take this restaurant over. You have great ideas and a love of food and Mike and I know the customers that supported us for the last nine years will show you the same love. Open your arms, Milton! We couldn't be more excited for you.”

Hopefully Chase will keep that AMAZING gumbo recipe! Stay tuned for him to tell us all about it on an upcoming Beach Eats radio show!

So far, the quality of the food has been consistently amazing. Including the gumbo which I just had a little while ago.

We’ve been going to Po Boy’s for many years and have loved the authentic New Orleans style food. Mike is a wonderful chef and is very friendly and approachable. We’ve had many occasions where he was able to get out of his kitchen and come over and talk to us and anyone else who was dining there at the time. His staff has been great and Pam has been there since Mike took over. We will miss him but we wish him well. The new owners have very big shoes to fill.

Oh my! We have just loved your little place with that great food. No place can compete with the taste and flavor. Real New Orleans style food that can’t be beat around here anyway! Please enjoy your retirement from here, but we are so sad to see you go.

I LOVE this place and will be heartbroken if the same quality of food and service changes. A special shout out to Lisa and Sharon.

I sincerely hope that the new owners will keep the same menu and recipes. Po Boys has the best Crawfish Étouffée in driving distance.
