Join Restaurant Impossible

The Rehoboth Foodie has been contacted in reference to the upcoming taping of Food Network's RESTAURANT IMPOSSIBLE at Ellendale's Southern Grille. The show, starring accomplished chef Robert Irvine, attempts to help failing restaurants with his expert advice and a total renovation of the interior accomplished over a very short time. The taping will take place on Aug. 28 and 29, 2019.

The production company is looking for volunteers to assist in the renovations, which take about a day-and-a-half. They are seeking construction people, carpenters, plumbers, electricians and others who can do anything from laying tile to hanging curtains to wiring light fixtures. The published work schedule is as follows: Wed. 8/28 from 12 noon to 7 p.m.; Wed. 8/28 from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m., and Thurs. 8/29 from 10:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. at which time the restaurant re-opens.
