Confucius Chinese restaurant has been dishing up freshly prepared food for years there on Wilmington Avenue. I featured them in my column this week.

Confucius is by far our family’s favorite beach restaurant. The food is always fantastic, and Shawn will make gluten-free food for my friend with celiac and sesame chicken for my husband even though it isn’t officially on the menu. We love Shawn and his wife Danielle.
Hands down, the BEST Chinese restaurant I have ever been to, and I have been to a lot. I refer to it as “The Ruth Chris of Chinese”, as it is not your typical picture menu $5.99 slopfest like most Chinese joints, far from it. This is high end, gourmet, fantastic food made with the freshest ingredients and love. I swear Shawn has a veggie garden on the roof as everything is so fresh, colorful, and bursting with flavor. While not on the menu, Shawn has always made me Kung Pao beef when I ask and is happy to punish me when I ask for it extra spicy, LOL. Careful what you ask for with this guy, he seems to like spicy as much as I. Service is always fantastic and the surroundings are storybook charming set in a quaint old rowhome. Highly, highly recommended.
