The month of October is a Spooktacular time of the year for visitors and residents alike. The Rehoboth Beach Museum has three events during Sea Witch Weekend on October 24 and 25 to commemorate the festival's 25th year.
The Museum and Jolly Trolley will team up to once again offer the popular Magical History Tour. There are two tours the morning of the 24th. The first tour is at 9 a.m. and the second will begin at 10 a.m. The trolley leaves from the Anna Hazzard Museum, 17 Christian St. Please arrive ten minutes before departure. The guided tour offers a look at historic sites around the downtown area. The trolley is enclosed so the tour takes place rain or shine. Reservations are required call 302-227-7310. The cost is $10, payable as you board the trolley. Cash only please.
The evening of the 24th the Museum welcomes children under twelve in costume from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m for the “Not So Spooky Scavenger Hunt.” Last year about 100 children and their parents joined in the fun. There are activities for the children and treats for all.
Be brave and attend Saturday evening October 25 at 7 p.m. to hear the Ad Hoc Radio Mystery Company present “Love, Honor or Murder.” Players will take the audience back to a time of mysteries on the radio. The cost of the event is $10. Reservations are required call 302-227-7310. The Museum is located at 511 Rehoboth Avenue next to the Visitor Center.
The Rehoboth Beach Museum’s hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Fall-winter hours begin at the end of October. The Museum will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until Memorial Day 2015. Boo!
