Dewey Beer Co. made a big splash in Dewey Beach and has now expanded slightly northwest into Harbeson (about 10 min. west of Coastal Highway on Rt.9). Turn right on Rt. 5 and Pizza Machine is just down on the right, across the street from Dewey Beer Company at 21248 Iron Throne Drive.
Their Pizza Machine concept pies range from the very basic (OO, ricotta, Mozz & parm) to interestingly creative (e.g., The Immortal Corrupter, sporting mozzarella, prosciutto, capicola, peppers & onions with a house-made red sauce). Prices are quite reasonable, with pies coming in from around $10 to about $18. Salads are also available that start at around $9 to $14 for the Salad Machine made up of mixed greens, prosciutto, cherry tomatoes, parm, hemp hearts (!) and a delightfully tart herb white balsamic vinaigrette.
They are currently open Monday – Sunday: 12 – 9pm. Check their off-season hours at 302-329-9732. The pics in the gallery are theirs, I'll add my own soon. CLICK HERE to see the entire menu .
I am 75 years old, and this has to be the worst pizza I have ever eaten. First off,
it was supposed to be a 12″ pizza, but it was only 10″ which was very noticeable in the pizza box. There was very little pepperoni on the pizza and very little sauce. I was charged $16 for this pizza. We even called to complain about the pizza and were told they had only been open a few days and needed to get their act together. They did not make good on our dissatisfaction. Purchaser beware!
