Twenty restaurants from across and just outside of Delaware will converge at the Delaware Burger Battle from noon to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 23, at Twin Lakes Brewery in Greenville. All will serve up their best burgers to critics and burger buffs alike, none the least of which your intrepid Rehoboth Foodie who will help to choose the Critic’s Choice Winner and Best Alternative Burger.
Participating restaurants include several Sussex mainstays such as Abbott’s Grill, Nage Restaurant and Rose & Crown. Upstate contenders include BBC Tavern and Grill, Cantwell’s Tavern, Chelsea Tavern, Deer Park Tavern, Drip Café, Ernest & Scott Taproom, Fuego, Kildare’s Irish Pub, La Fia, The Meat House Chadds Ford, Pizza by Elizabeths, Redfire Grill + Steakhouse, The River Rock Kitchen, Skipjack, Tutto Fresco Restaurant, Ulysses American Gastropub and World Cafe Live.
Tickets are $45 for adults, $15 for teens and $5 for kids and include tastings at all the booths. Your ticket also entitles you to tastings of delicious beer from Twin Lakes Brewery.
