On July 17th 2026 the new FISH HAWK'S restaurant in Dewey opened in the little center where Vavala's and Woody's Dewey Beach Bar & Grill are located at Orleans & The Highway. The restaurant pays homage to their mascot, Ozzy the osprey – a reference to the beloved ospreys that nest in Dewey Beach.
The bar features an array of espresso martinis. Longtime beach restaurant guy Brian Massa is the GM. Owner Irish Richman offers a nicely curated wine list and a tasty array of beachy cuisine, some small plates and even some sandwiches. It was noted in a local article that they are the only Dewey Beach eatery that offers REAL champagne … from France!
Reason enough to check it out.
