Unwined OUT – JAM Bistro IN

/ Updated on March 31, 2023

John Bragg's sadly short-lived Unwined at the Beach will be replaced by Mark Hunker and Jeff McCracken's JAM Bistro at the corner of 2nd and Wilmington. The move is in preparation for the long-anticipated expansion of the Atlantic Sands Hotel on the ocean block of Baltimore Avenue.

JAM's new digs, in addition to serving as the Rehoboth Beach jail many years ago, has played host to the late Nancy Wolfe Wayson's iconic Chez La Mer, followed by a couple of failed concepts, then making a comeback with Matt Haley's Papa Grande's, then Azzurro Italian Oven, Unwined at the Beach, and now JAM.

JAM's neighbors include some of the best eateries in town, including Aroma Mediterranean restaurant, longtime mainstay Confucius, Salt Air, and Henlopen City Oyster House.

JAM's reputation and brand recognition will most surely light up that landmark for a long time to come.
