Empty Bowls – but not for long -4/17

Empty Bowls Project, is an international grassroots effort to raise both money and awareness in the fight to end hunger, is sponsored by the Rehoboth Beach Sunrise Rotary Club in collaboration with the Rehoboth Art League’s(RAL) Open Pottery Studio and School. Together with their sponsors and partners they will be fighting hunger one bowl at a time! The RAL Open Pottery Studio and School potters have now thrown over 600 unique bowls for this event.
On Sunday, April 17th from 4:30 to 7:30 at Cape Henlopen High School, participants will receive a hand-thrown bowl from the RAL Open Pottery Studio and School and will then dine on delicious soups from Fish On and Matt’s Fish Camp in Lewes (soon to open!), including Sweet Corn & Jalapeno Bisque, Smokey Ham & Spring Pea and Fish Camp Clam Chowder, along with wonderful breads and cookies from Old World Bread and Bakery and Ice Cream from King’s Homemade Ice Cream and Friendly’s.
Participants will be serenaded by the Camp Rehoboth Chorus, the Cape Henlopen HS Jazz Ensemble, and the band Won by One.
