The Lewes Diner that replaced Annabella's restaurant on Savannah Road in Lewes is, after being open for about a year, apparently attempting to rebrand itself as the Lewes Pizzeria. Early reports suggest that the menu is the same except, according to Foodie Follower Olivia, they have eliminated the breakfast items (which, if diners' reports and emails to me are to be believed, is no great loss), and have added the pizzas. They're really going to have to step up their game to equal the pizzas at the neighboring Mr. P's or Touch of Italy. We'll check it out and keep you posted.

Gave the Lewes Diner a real try on three or four occasions. Sorry to report that it just doesn’t measure up to other diners for Breakfast – Lunch or Dinner. And to boot it is expensive. They really need to get their act together since they have steep competition with Ocean Grille at Five Points and Honeys in town.
They dropped the breakfast menu altogether. Breakfast was their mainstay on weekends. Though the one time we were there for breakfast, I found the eggs benedict tasted like cardboard, and what was supposed to be Hollandaise sauce tasted more like cheese wiz. Perhaps it’s a good thing there’s no more breakfast offerings. The sandwiches and burgers also used to taste like cardboard. Flavorless.
I haven’t tried the pizzas yet but the prices seem disproportionately high for this area.
Olivia…thanks for the update! I will modify my post to reflect that. Your impressions of the place reflect the many emails I have received regarding people’s experiences there. Apparently these owners don’t realize how much competition there is around them. Lewes isn’t Oak Orchard.
After Annabelleas it was Lewes Diner with breakfast items and now it will only be another Pizza place??
Note that the post states that the old menu will still be in effect (for what it’s worth) – only there will be pizza too
