Mine Is For Real…

“First of all, thanks so much for what you do. I spend countless hours on your site and love reading your reviews. It's such a great reference for us locals! My question is about your favorite topic, gluten free (lol). I am one of the poor unfortunate souls that actually has Celiac Disease. I was wondering if you have encountered any local restaurants that offer a gluten-free pad thai? I am all of a sudden craving it as I have not had any since being diagnosed about 15 months ago and was wondering if you recall any options in the area that you have run across. Thanks again and keep up the great work!!”

Hey there! I too appreciated all that Rehoboth Foodie has to offer! Great reviews and opinions that have helped us find amazing meals. But I was diagnosis with celiac in August 2015 and I have been looking for safe places to eat out since.
Does the Foodie have any recommendations of restaurants that go out of their way to keep celiacs safe? Thanks!

Grandpa(MAC) has a nice gluten-free pasta. Touch of Italy has also introduced a selection of gluten-free foods for celiac sufferers. Also check out America’s Pie on Rehoboth Avenue. When I last looked they were preparing a separate prep area for gluten-free foods. Many restaurants tout gluten-free items, but for actual celiac sufferers (not the poseurs), it is important that there be separate prep areas and equipment for those menu items. Always call if there is any question. It’s as important to the restaurant as it is to you that you not have any discomfort after dining.
