/ Updated on October 15, 2024

Kathryn Robinson and James Petion's NEW Palm Beach Bar & Grill will open Saturday, Oct. 19th in the old Shrimpy's space in Midway Center. Kathryn and James were the proprietors of the popular “First State Corn & More” truck that used to reside behind Chick-fil-A on the highway, and also had the old Shrimpy's walk-up space by the Boardwalk. They bring over 30 years of experience and their passion for Southern Florida to this full-service restaurant. Plans are for them to open on Saturday, Oct. 19.

The menu includes items such as jumbo stuffed potatoes, Cuban sandwiches, and Thai Chili shrimp, alongside other favorites that reflect the restaurant's Southern Florida heritage. “We wanted to create a space that reflects our love for food and hospitality, where guests can enjoy fresh, flavorful dishes inspired by our roots in Palm Beach,” said Chef James Petion.

The Grand Opening Saturday will feature Shore Jazz Trio from 5-8 PM, Magic Monday with Mark Phillips on Mon, Oct 21 from 8-8:45 PM, and Acoustic Johnny Phatt on Thu, Oct 24 from 6-9 PM. Check out the website, PalmBeachBarAndGrill.com, for more information. They will be open 4-10 PM daily, closed Tuesdays.
