Aladdin Market

/ Updated on October 2, 2021

The popular Jerusalem International Grocery Middle Eastern market has moved to downtown Rehoboth Beach in the old Proud Bookstore spot by Arena's at 149 Rehoboth Avenue, the little commercial alleyway that connects Rehoboth Avenue with Baltimore Avenue. The new name is Aladdin Market.

Though the plethora of free parking and ease of access in Lewes will be missed, I agree with owner Jamil Ahmad that he will most certainly make up for that with increased vacationer foot traffic and walk-in sales. Check the place out!

RehobothFoodie pick hits include the Sultan grape leaves, the Beirut brand tahini (makes the best hummus!), the Qamar al-Din (a pressed apricot confection that is delicious), the spicy falafel and the sharp and salty feta cheese sold in the green plastic container labeled “sheep's cheese from Bulgaria.” It's delicious. Browseabout and enjoy something different!

Agree that lack of free parking will limit my visits. Guess I’ll need to circle the block while my wife runs in for our labneh fix.
