Goodbye, Harry

/ Updated on October 11, 2017

It's the end of an era. Longtime Rehoboth Beach restaurateur Harry Tsoukalas passed away on Tuesday, September 26th. Our thoughts and sympathies go out to his wife Niki, his son Kosta and the entire Tsoukalas family.

Harry operated the Robin Hood restaurant in the first block of Rehoboth Avenue for almost 50 years, renaming it from the original Robert Lee restaurant. Harry was 87.

Read about the Robin Hood restaurant in my April, 2012 Cape Gazette column.

Special thanks goes out to Tony Gouvas from Louie's Pizza for giving The Foodie a heads up.

And Kosta and Niki continued Robin Hood hospitality this weekend after just losing their father and husband. A special place and our regular breakfast spot. We are thinking of all the family.

Nice, nice man. Made the best rice pudding. Fixture walking on the boardwalk.
