My Sister’s Fault

/ Updated on July 17, 2020

Self-proclaimed “sweet sister” Rous (baker) and “savory sister” Angie (cook) recently opened their wildly popular bakery at 10 SW NW Front St. in Milford (directly behind the old Georgia House). They blame one another for this life-changing experience.

My Sister’s Fault is a Puerto Rican inspired bakery where the two upbeat and talkative sisters are always competing against each other, and dare the customers to blame one of them for your new addiction in town. The pride themselves on their house-made empanadas, breakfasts, sandwiches and variety of pastries. Their sandwiches are made from scratch and served on their house-made Sobao and Mayorca Bread. Never heard of it? Take a drive to Milford for a taste.

The menu is divided into four sections. Empanadas include their amazing beef, chicken, pizza, cheesedog and chalups versions. Or you can go wild and get a mixed box for only 9 bucks. They don't have all the sandwiches there all the time, but if you're lucky, don't miss the Suster Cubano (a traditional Cuban on their amazing homemade bread) and the Brother Sandwich (ham & cheese with other goodies on the Sobao bread). There are 11 sandwiches available.

Breakfasts are available until 6PM! Choose from the standard breakfast sandwiches or get a little wild with the PR's Traditional (think Western Omelet with a Puerto Rican accent!) or the Jammin' Bacon Burrito (it's even got Tater Tots!). There are 11 choices in the breakfast department. The sides section includes their deep-fried cheesecake or the addictive Nutella Mayorca.

This fun little place is WELL worth the 25 or so-minute drive from the beach. Treat yourself to the almond casitas. A simple pastry that will have you hooked for life.

They are currently open from Wed. thru Sat. – 8:30 – 6. You can call them for carryout at (302) 503-7446. See their website (and order online) HERE.

I’m lucky enough to have this neighborhood treasure within walking distance. Their empanadas are outstanding, their sandwiches are delicious, and their sweets are truly decadent. It’s hard to choose a favorite, so come often and work your way through their selections. They’re all great!

It’s about time they made it onto RF! My Sister’s Fault has been very popular in Milford for some time but has still retained the charm of a local secret. We love their empanadas and sweet treats.
