There are 3 butchers on Arthur Ave. and they are all good. Biancardi's, Vincent's and Peter's inside the Arthur Ave. Market. Lunch is also good at most places. We have become friends with the always smiling Sal Biancardi who supplies most of the meats to the thriving Touch of Italy chain of restaurants and delis in Rehoboth Beach and Lewes, Delaware, and Ocean City, Maryland.
If this place were any more Italian, it would be overseas. Many of the butchers speak Italian, and regular customers actually have their own butchers. Each one has an assigned station somewhere along the long deli case, and people wait in line to deal with their favorite.
Biancardi’s has the largest selection of charcuterie I have ever seen, flavored with all sorts of spices. There are whole goats, goat and sheep heads and lots of stuff you will never see at the grocery store. If you travel there, bring a cooler!
