Realtor Joe Maggio has moved on from his Port 251 concept (next to Hotel Rehoboth in the 3rd block of The Avenue).
Restaurateur and Conch Island club owner Bryan Derrickson has acquired the space and will rename it Crushers Crabs & Crushes. There is also a possibility that he might also take over Catchers – the longtime crab house located between the new Crushers and Hotel Rehoboth. That is in progress and remains to be seen.
Derrickson also acquired the old “snowball shack” in the parking lot where he will locate Vince Failla's Cup'r Cone Ice Cream concept. Vince has already been quite successful with his truck of the same name.
The plan, if approved, would focus on steamed crabs, Derrickson's famous crushes with expanded the outdoor seating to make the place seem less “enclosed.”
