Bye Bye, America’s Pie

/ Updated on March 24, 2017

We are sad to report that the America's Pie pizza and carryout on Rehoboth Avenue has closed its doors for good. Though there was some concern about yet another pizza place on the ocean block, they did carve out a niche for themselves with their thin & crispy “Brooklyn” pie, their clever and unusual appetizers and their always reliable delivery service. Apparently internal issues among the partners resulted in the closing of the business.

(SECRET HINT: Don't tell anybody, but the prime movers of America's Pie MIGHT – just might – return bigger and better. NOTHING IS ENGRAVED IN STONE as of yet. But y'never know………………….)

sad news, indeed. We loved their pizza & very friendly service. Hope if the reopen, it will be in the outer Lewes/Milton/Harbeson area; we need a pizza place out this way.
    Too bad Ledo’s left, too.

I’m still in mourning for Ledo’s. But there is a silver lining! The OC Ledo’s is under new ownership and the pizzas are VERY good. Shades of Adelphi! Worth the little trip south.

My husband and I plus a half dozen friends absolutely LOVED this NY style pizza and their creative and fresh ingredients. Can only hope they consider moving out closer to Route 9. Please come back!!!

SOrry to see them go, had one of the few decent pies (and by the slice!) in the area. Let’s hope they reopen someplace where they can relay on more year-round traffic and with parking! I will stay tuned, while continuing to wait for Plaza Mexican out my way.

I miss Jenn and Mike. They are so nice and make the best pizza in town. I do hope they open another place, and soon!

Very sorry to hear this – always liked this place. Last year in the off/early season I’d get pies for the crew working on my house and everyone liked it. Nice people at the store too… better than most of the more established places, but know those places have die hard followers that are hard to break into.

Oh that sucks. I have $60 worth of vouchers I bought for them on half price hook up. Do they have another location somewhere?

    • The Rehoboth Foodie The Rehoboth Foodie says:

Hold on to them. The primary owners might reopen in another location. Keep an eye on this site for news.

Took us six years to find a good authentic pizza down here that was close to the pie’s up in northern NJ. They made the best Margarita pizza in the whole state, sorry to see Jennifer close the store. I sure hope you open in another location soon!!!

Terrible closing. Only New York tasting pizza at the beach. Booooooooooooooo!!!!!
