Established in 1918, Madonia Brothers Bakery is the center of the universe for everything sweet and Italian. Mountains of biscotti greet you when you enter, and loaves of fresh, often still-warm bread are piled high. On the right, cases of almond cookies, pastries and rolls tempt you at every turn. If you go with a local celebrity (we ALWAYS do), they will let you look into their huge preparation area that sports an oven about the size of a Humvee.
