The New Year's Eve party a few weeks ago at Sydney's at Paynters Mill in Milton was their last hurrah.
Sadly, the popular music venue has closed its doors for good. That large, two-level space in the Paynters Mill business area has repeatedly proven to be too large and/or too unwieldy, too far from the beach “action”, or in the case of music, too reverberant (echoey) for the long list of tenants, the very first of which was Kindle Restaurant that wisely moved into downtown Lewes and has been thriving.
The three guys who opened Sydney's did their very best, but it's a difficult spot. Best of luck, gentlemen!
