On July 17th 2026 the new FISH HAWK'S restaurant in Dewey opened in the little center where Vavala's and Woody's Dewey Beach Bar & Grill are located at Orleans & The Highway. The restaurant pays homage to their mascot, Ozzy the osprey – a reference to the beloved ospreys that nest in Dewey Beach.
The bar features an array of espresso martinis. Longtime beach restaurant guy Brian Massa is the GM. Owners Gary & Irish Richman offer a nicely curated wine list and a nice array of beachy cuisine, some small plates and even some sandwiches. It was noted in a local article that they are the only Dewey Beach eatery that offers REAL champagne … from France!
Reason enough to check it out.
