Patty’s (Lewes)

/ Updated on February 1, 2016

The delightful Patty Jacobs and her namesake Georgetown carryout (and the overstuffed wraps, sandwiches and sublime cookies) have expanded into the old Half Full spot on Market Street (across from Gate House). The little motto on the Lewes menu says it all: “So much food, so little space!” But Patty is a clever little thing and has made delicious use of every square inch. Get ready for the colorful selection of gourmet goodies on the wall to your left when you enter the store. And do not leave without a bottle of Rufus Teague’s Touch o’Heat BBQ sauce.

Patty has a full menu of breakfast sandwiches featuring scrambled eggs, her famous egg salad (wait ’til you try it), french toast and oats with blueberries and sliced almonds. Cold sandwiches are the same as the Georgetown store and include Ted’s Italian, her ridiculously good chicken salad, and even Deb’s chicken salad (if you have been around here for a while you know who Deb is). There are over 21 sandwiches from which to choose, and you can choose your bread, cheese and toppings.

Patty’s is known for her salads, and they are all there at the Lewes store. Choose from 10. Patty also does party platters with cheeses, hummus, grilled tenderloin of beef, buttermilk fried chicken and lots more.

She has all the hand-picked cheeses and her fresh salads on hand for wraps, sandwiches or carryout. Foodie Pick Hits: The oatmeal-raisin cookies, the chipotle honey. the lemon bars, the ridiculously good CoAqua coconut water, the chicken salad (of course) and the 16 Mile beer-infused cheddar from Easton, Md. (limited availability). By the way, Patty’s is the only place I know around here that carries the delicious Rufus Teague Touch O’Heat BBQ sauce mentioned above. The Georgetown store will remain open and serve as the mothership for food prep, storage, etc.

At present, Patty’s Lewes at 113 Market St. is open 7 days from 7-3. She plans to stay open later as things settle. FYI, the Georgetown store is at 517 S. Bedford St. just down from 16 Mile Brewery. For more information, go to or call 302-253-8692.
