- Foodie on the Road - The Rehoboth Foodie is not afraid to venture out in the country and taste everything from New York City to Las Vegas, NV.
- Atlanta, GA - The diversity of Atlanta is reflected in the choices of places to eat. BBQ joints with mountains of hickory mingle with dainty sushi palaces, frou-frou, neon-lit diners, and one of the best steak houses the Foodie has ever had the pleasure of popping a Lipitor in.
- Key West, FL - Key West has changed a lot over the years, but it’s still a destination for many. Beware the tourist traps, but there is indeed some good eatin’ down there.
- Las Vegas, NV - Las Vegas is a Foodie’s paradise. Everything from 24/7 joints serving breakfasts, burgers and dogs, to lavish buffets; from tucked-away locals’ hangouts to Celebrity Chef installations perched high atop multi-million-dollar casino/hotels with an average cost per diner in the hundreds of dollars. Where to go? Which ones are best? The Foodie knows.
- Maryland (D.C. Suburbs) - Places like Silver Spring, Chevy Chase, Bethesda and Rockville MD are just over the line from Washington, D.C., but are meccas for restaurant fans everywhere. In Bethesda alone, there are well over 200 eateries within a few blocks of one another.
- New Castle / Newark, DE and Surrounding Areas - On Rt. 13, just after the airport and before you reach the I-395 interchange at Wilmington, there’s a strip of stores and restaurants, some of which are noteworthy. Articles in this section also include Newark, DE and places near or in Christiana Mall near the Rt. 1 / Rt. 395 interchange.
- New York City, NY - What can I say! It’s the city that never sleeps (and never stops eating). So many places.
- Philadelphia, PA - Philly is a vibrant, yet surprisingly compact city. With enough time (and a sturdy pair of shoes) you can walk just about anywhere. The number of colleges located in Philadelphia has given rise to a wide array of upbeat, moderately priced eateries located fairly close together; specifically on South Street from about 2nd St. to about 9th, and the Center-City “Gayborhood” around 12th and Pine. Pretty much every ethnic food you could desire is available in Philly. We go fairly often, and we will add places as we try them. Remember…these are not reviews, just guidelines and information to help you decide where your next nosh will be.
- Virginia Beach, VA - Virginia Beach has become a mini-suburb of Norfolk, VA and has a pretty substantial metro area divided into three distinct parts: (1) the “beach,” (2) a busy commercial area packed with chain restaurants and big shopping centers just a few miles inland, and, (3) another commercial area just north of the beach on Shore Road toward the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.
- Washington, D.C. - Having grown up in the Washington, D.C. area, the Foodie (just a tiny Foodlet way back then) crawled from place to place checking out the menus and venues. As a musician in restaurants and lounges, he got to sample all the goodies nightly. (He didn’t remain a tiny Foodlet for very long.) Occasional visits back to the D.C. area are still required for The Foodie’s gastronomic peace-of-mind.
