What about George?

/ Updated on September 10, 2017

No, this is not an advertisement. But regulars to RehobothFoodie.com know that my preferred Bloody mix is George's, the microbrew of bloody marys from the boutique GEORGE’S MIXES in Berlin, MD. This tiny bottler is known for its famous Bloody Mary Mix. In fact, when I ordered a Bloody on Easter Sunday at Blackwall Hitch, the server mentioned that they use George's.

So why am I mentioning this now? Well, George's Mixes has announced that they are launching a first-ever Old Bay Bloody Mary Mix in May, using the classic Maryland seasoning, Old Bay. The small Berlin business collaborated with the Baltimore spice giant McCormick whose Old Bay team reached out to the tiny George's to make the first-ever bottled Old Bay Bloody Mary Mix. The Rehoboth Foodie finds this very exciting and is lining up his preferred vodkas now in order to avoid the rush in May.

Check out the new Old Bay George's this summer and let me know what you think. I always add a dash – or two, or nine – of Tabasco, of course.
