The Ogre’s Anniversary 10/19!

/ Updated on October 20, 2019
Get your Halloween costume ready for October 19th, because Ogre's Grove comic shop in Milton is celebrating their second shop anniversary with a trick-or-treat and costume contest for kids at heart, no matter what year you were born. The Eastern Shore Ghostbusters will be outside while participants register for free from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Everyone will receive a map to other businesses along Union and Federal streets who are giving away free trinkets or treats. Return the map, signed by all businesses, to Ogre's Grove by 2 p.m., when the judging starts, and choose a comic book from the $3 back issue room for free. The costume contestant who wins first place will receive gift cards from local businesses.
Then, starting at 2:30 p.m., listen to Johnny Rags and his student, Abby Stinar, play spooky saxophone music on the porch while you wander across the street to the Milton Historical Society. Enjoy sandwiches from the Dead Pig Tavern, gumbo from Po' Boys Creole Restaurant, hot cider from Milton Community Food Pantry, mead from Brimming Horn Meadery … and more!
