Michy’s Relaxed Dining

Michy’s Relaxed Dining is open! The paintings are hung, the tables are set, the lights glow like candles onto the rustic farm tables, the kitchen is gleaming and the herbal bathtub is growin’ up a storm (you’ll have to go to figure that one out).

Long-time chef Richard Davis and his wife Michelle can’t wait for you to see their brand new Michy’s Relaxed Dining in the space formerly occupied by the Charcoal Grill and, before that, Zorba’s in the Rehoboth Marketplace (Food Lion/Concord/Pete’s Steak Shop).

Richard’s concept is casual fine-dining with a hint of Caribbean and South Florida. Richard came to Rehoboth from England as a classically trained chef, working in the kitchen at the Blue Moon and at the original La La Land. He spent a lot of time in Atlanta and then Florida, working his way up to executive chef at Todd English’s Osteria da Campo (now closed) and YOLO (You Only Live Once) in Ft. Lauderdale.

Richard also cooked at Nage. Michy’s concept will be casual … uhh, relaxed … dining with nothing over $30, serving entrees such as Grilled Shrimp & Crab Salad with avocado and key lime, Lemon Thyme Chicken, and his signature Diver Sea Scallops prepared with wild mushrooms, truffle pea risotto and Parmesan reggiano.
