The online reviews say it all:

  • “There's plenty of places to explore, from cigar rollers, to butchers, to delis, and so on.”

  • “Old school Market with different deli counters, hand rolled cigars, cheeses.”
  • “Stop by Mike's Deli for some Sicilian rice balls or stuffed breads (featured on the Food Network).”

The place is huge, and tables are scarce. Italian sandwiches and prepared delights can be ordered up over at Mike's, then you can plop at the bar, order up a cold beer and gape at the humanity. In the middle of the place is a section devoted to guys who roll cigars — all day. The process is fascinating and it almost makes you want to smoke one of those fragrant things. There are also huge gift baskets overflowing with just about anything, and even as little section for Arthur avenue logo apparel and other cute stuff. Do not miss this mass of diverse items right in the middle of the block just up from 187th St. Scroll through the galleries.

Mike's Deli has a passable website.

The cigar rollin' guys have a website too.
